Edit Item status to "publish" was created by brandonking

Hi,

In global setting, I can change New item status to published,unpublished....
Is there any option that I can change edited item by author to published? At the moment, edited item is waiting for review by admin.

Edit: Do I have to disable versioning?

Since r1524 there has been work flow improvements regarding the default state for editors that cannot publish,

since r1524 you have 2 options
- manual approvement requests (sets state of new items to 'draft'), editor when satisfied with his/her article will click approve button to make item state change to 'Pending Approval' and send email

- automatic approvement request (set state of new items to 'pending approval') and sends email immediately,

this is configurable for frontend/backend

no other alternatives will exists for the time being
