Hi all, new here, This is an awsome product
(All my Regards to the developpers and the community)

Let say I would like to present city information such as
Presentation / News / Events

Given :
Main menu : Home / City / About US (horizontal / top)

When City Menu is selected Side Menu is displayed

Side Menu Will display Cities
City A / B / C (side / vertical)

When city A is selected I want to display related news and events to City A

Sidebar Left Mainbody Sidebar Right
News City A Presentation City A Events City A

Am I correct to assume

1- I need to setup two Flexi_Content modules for Sidebars left and right ?
Then using the category scope of these modules as to show
City related New for left sidebar and City related events for right sidebar

2- Can I use only those two modules to show all related News and Events by City ?

3- Must I need to setup specific content type like News and Events ?

4- How do I go about the scope setup?

First you can use related items field to define relation between content types

e.g. between: Course and students
e.g. between: Singer and Albums

In every Singer item you select albums (via Related items field)

when you view Singer you will have links to the albums
when you view the album you will have link to the singer (via the related items Backlinks field)

Your original messages had many questions, i have not answered them, just answered an important one,

First try using the module a little to gain experience with it (i guess you are already doing it), and then you can ask questions, some the answerers maybe become a FAQ article in our FAQ ...

Yes I am experimenting...

I look forward to submiting a FAQ article about this.

I have created my related item and backlink fields

In the mean time could you give me cues

on how to setup my categories hierarchy
on how to setup the combined scope of the flexi_content module.

Thanks again and Best Regards

After experimenting with the field type “related - items” and "universal content module",
I would like to clarify what I want to accomplish (more implied questions… sorry)

How to show sub category content related to current content category???

Explanations:
Let’s say from city menu I click “City-A” the “mainbody area” of my “page” template shows a City-A main content item.

(Every city category has 2 sub category, news and events witch both have an undermined number of items)

In left and right sidebars, I want to show the news and events items, related to the city being displayed. e.g. Items from category News->City-A and Events-> City-A.

(In the left and right sidebars of my rockettheme page template)

I would like to avoid my news and events publishers to have to link these through a related items field with having something like a hidden (related category items or related items category)

Since this type of field is not available what would be the way of implementing this function

I guess I will need a implementing some kind of hack trick

Please help… need to get moving past this issue.

Many Thanks
