How to disable tooltip

Hello,

Is there anyway to disable tooltips for email, print and favorite icon?

I was thinking that maybe global option not to load tool tips js library would be more useful, if it deactivated the tooltips, currently there is no option for it

I have request this in the past because the IPAD and other tables don't have roll over so you have to double click in links which is not normal.

The InterExt plug-in enables you to disable the tooltips JavaScript so the tips do not appear.

what about my suggestion ? :

the global option , instead of not loading ToolTip library, it will also not load ToolTips Globally !

this will be done by adding an IF statement in all places that ADD tooltips

This has been an issue in the Joomla forums since the very beginning.
Users have asked many times "why cannot I just turn these Off?"
It is one of those Joomla things that just never gets addressed in the core.
You would think that in 7-8 years it would get fixed.

The InterExt plug-in is just another option available right now.

Also, we are going to run into that same issue again in the future as some users want to make the change to jQuery alone and turn-off all MooTools in the front-end.

Hi,

I've been searching the forum but haven't found a solution for this.

Before my install of flexicontent (I'm on the latest non beta version of Joomla) I had the email and print icon hidden at the global configuration article level.

After I installed flexicontent - they display again and ignore the global configuration article level. I have to go to each article and hide them which is a pain.

I didn't have this before the flexicontent install. I figured out how to get rid of the header (created by favorites etc). How do I fix this.?

For a newbie it's a bit disconcerting that I have to switch off things after flexicontent install. I'm keen to use this so that I can handover the content management of the site to my customer.

Please advise.

you don't need to do this per item

this and other configuration parameters you can do per content TYPE
(e.g. if you have 2 content types: "article", "car", edit both of them and disable)

using content type parameters make easy and more flexible to configure your web-siste,

e.g. enable for some content types and disable for others
