If you installed r1590, please update to r1593

2 bugs:
-- a bug regarding groupmarker and fields manager
-- a bug regarding ordering in category manager

FLEXIcontent project downloads

Marked it at experimental in downloads but it should have no important bugs

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.

ggppdk wrote: Maybe it would be better to make this more general

Maybe this would be better:
-- always include translations when
a. sorting via translation group column
b. any translation of the group is visible

aka if sorting via this column and having various filters, make an item K to be visible then all its translating items will be visible too?

This better ordering will come handy in
-- category view with subcategories items enabled
-- and in a new category layout "multicat" (like we have "myitems" and "author") , i ll add this as category model and templates almost ready for it
(This after JED announcement of new version)

Hi, have you done something about displaying translation groups even if the translations are in a different category? I have just had the problem that I had to migrate a page with Japanese content and after translation it is nearly impossible for a non Japanese speaker to find the right corresponding articles quickly...

I am thinking for best approach,

the way to go is an second query, to create a sublist after each item to contain the associated translations

e.g. when showing 30 items, we will show 30 items plus + 200 translating items, just the 200 translation will not be part of the Joomla listing (it will not make sense to be part of it anyway as filtering and ordering will not apply to them)

Hi,

what you described sound reasonable to me! Important is that I see all translations just below the original article.

Or, like Joomfish does, a third filter "language" would be good. Si if one wants to translate only English he or she does not need to see all the other translations.
