e-mail notification

Can someone guide me howto properly setup e-mail notification for a group of users, say author for every new item.

I am getting duplicates email submissions to an account which submitting, and emails are not being send to other memebers of group.

Using latest Flexicontent for Joomla 1.5

Duplicate emails are not normally possible.

FLEXIcontent code takes care of this.

Even if user is in a group and also selected atomically,
1. FLEXIcontent code will only send a single email to him/her and also
2. one email is sent per save (even for new items !!! that initially are "new" and then are "existing")

-- are some email target user lists that could be the cause of the duplicate emails ???

I have r1576,

In Types I set Content submit/change notifications , User groups =editors , I expect this to send emails to all members of the group.

NOTE 1:
that the parameters for sending are global then overridden per item CONTENT Type , then category specific groups are added to them (not overridden added and then made unique to avoid duplicate emails)

NOTE 2:
this settings are not trivial, that is why there is a parameter to turn on debugging, maybe this will help

my version is r1576.

I switched Debug notifications =On in Global, also in Type .

Where should I be looking now for debug messages ?

I found that had previously installed NotifyArtcileSubmit plugin , but even after removing it, I am not getting e-mails sent.

After turning on DEBUG for email-notifications, you will get messages on top of the page (email address recipients and email subject/body)

e.g. if you you editing item is of CONTENT TYPE "announcement" then post a picture here (or a link to this picture) with your configuration for email notifications in Content Type "announcement"

When I am submitting an Item , on the top of page I have only "Item saved" and now other debug messages.

Your new content is probably in draft state, for draft state emails for new items are not sent regardless of whether user can publish or not

I have fixed this and added selection of states for new and existing items for user that can publish,

you can get fix from SVN or wait for next public package
