Well, this is another bug I guess in the language router. And I think it is Joomla related. If you are on a homepage and switch the language and then want to open a direct link in another language, Joomla adds the language selector of the language you switched too to the path.

So www.muenstermann.com/uebersicht/neuigkeiten
exists in German. If your browser has set the cookie that you switched to English and you want to open the direct German link Joomla builds

www.muenstermann.com/en/uebersicht/neuigkeiten

which does of course not exist, because the English translated path is actually: www.muenstermann.com/en/overview ... nformation

Yes, exactly

when you try to access a menu item that is not in current language then Joomla will return not found !!

This is taken in consideration when selecting menu item via the FLEXIcontent router, and it does not create links with different language menu items.

so if switching language this link with "wrong language menu item" was produced by ??? a module, a component?

I do not exactly understand. I have two menus. One German, one English. All menu items in the menus have the same language.

Those two menu items are assigned to each other for direct switching.
English: www.muenstermann.com/en/overview ... nformation
German: www.muenstermann.com/uebersicht/neuigkeiten

Still, when I switched to English, I get an error when I go directly to a German link because "en" is added to the path!

I visited your site and clicked links and switched items , i could not reproduce the problem with bad links, what is the order of steps to make this problem appear?

also i tried subscribing to feed while changing language and it works,

so again what are steps to reproduce problem ?
e.g.
visit home, click there, change language, try to subscribe to rss feed

I do not know if the topics are related.

RSS: I put the RSS link in the Joomla Feed Module and it gives me the error that the feeds could not be loaded.

Bad links: Go to the page, click to switch to English and then open DIRECTLY an existing German link e.g.: www.muenstermann.com/dokumenten- ... iften.html

On a 'normal' Joomla page you will get an 404 error, with FC a member function error. (we are discussing the reason why FC does not also give an 404 error in a different thread: flexicontent.org/forum/index.php ... =viewtopic )

So I think there must be a Joomla bug that one cannot go directly to pages in a different language!

i understand now, yes this is not related to Flexicontent

yes this a known problem occurring when
1. user has started a joomla session by visiting the site (logged or unlogged session)
2. and you click on a bookmarked link that has no language code and is containing the alias of a menu item in a different language

I don't know how to workaround this BUT if your home page is a FLEXIcontent page then maybe it is possible to add code to FLEXIcontent router to set a different menu item and redirect ???

About rss feed you say that they are from joomla RSS feed module , where is this module displayed i don't see it, (or please remind me, does this module only adds hidden RSS link at the page head?)

Regards
