How do I import K2 items?

How do I import K2 items? was created by librarian

I have built up quite the library on my website using a Joomla! component called "K2" - it works ok, but FlexiContent seems better suited to my needs.

I went through the motions of importing Joomla! Content and 'bound' it to a particular category. I did this with only ONE category to see how it would work. Now I want to import all of the items I have created with K2 into FlexiContent, but I don't know if it will a) recognize that section/category and b) duplicate all of the news articles I have already imported . It is important to note that the extensive amount of items I created for my online Library were created within K2 and are therefore not com_content.

Do any of the developers have any tips for me? Is there a way that I can copy them into the database into particular tables? What do I need to do? I got this component specifically to migrate the K2 items over as the templating in K2 is incredibly difficult and just gives me fits!

cant do this
K2 uses another set of Database tables FLEXI uses com_content
Need to use PHPMyAdmin
