Can I restrict field access? was created by jimijon

Hello -

I need to create a video directory with specific fields. However, I need some of the fields to be only available to see or search by "registered" and yet others to only be seen and searched by "special"

Is this possible?

witch version ?
for j1.5 you need flexiaccess
for j2.5 just do it in field with ACL joomla

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

I can use either 2.5 or j3.

So I can definitely only show and search on the custom fields via ACL joomla??

So your custom fields work directly with the ACL?

If so ... this just might work!

Finally, can you support article plugins? I need to use S3MediaStream to show my videos.

yes for ACL we do a big work to use j2.5 ACL on field !!!
yes all 'good' plugin work on field and descprition
just enable trigger joomla plugin for each (field administration)
