Creating a custom form for input

I am sorry if I am asking an obvious question, but I am stuck.
I have created custom fields within flexicontent, and have figured out how to get them indexed for advanced searching with no problem.

I want to create a form on the front end with the fields in a particular order, I have gone into the fields configuration after reading these forums and am no closer. Can anybody point me in the right direction please?

Thanks in advance.

This are some steps you need to make:

1 - Create a menu item: ITEM SUBMISSION
2 - in the CUSTOM FIELDS you need to filter per TYPE and the ORDER the fields. Only this way you can order the fields

That is it. :D

Hi Algardata

Thank you for your quick reply - I am really grateful.

It is still not working for me:
I create a new Field, and under Ordering I set it to 0 so that it is at the top of the list. It shows at the top of the list in the list of fields, but when I enter the add item form in either the frontend or backend, the field is at the bottom.

I have read about filtering by specific content type, but I just dont understand it. I am really sorry

to create an order i must use ordering by type first !!
the global ordering isn't good ...
if you have many field with order 0 .. its on alphabetic order for each 0
;)

Thank you!

Is there any way to make sure that the Flexicontent fields appear in front of the Joomla core fields?

I want to hide Tags and this does not work, I have amended permissions for Tags also, and they still display.

Thanks again for your help. Sorry to keep pestering, I have been trying to do this for hours.
