Hello,
the link to categories in Article-View is somehow wrong.
I have a link to category wich will be right shown in left menu on the site, in the listing it will be right too, also:
autonews/latest.html : the both are categories
After I open some article, above I see some table where is one link to the category, and the link is wrong, I see:
site.tld/component/flexicontent/9-latest.html
If I click on link, I see error in browser: "Remote server or file not found"

Can you help please, what is wrong. Do I somewhat not configurated?

System - SEF is "on", in global configuration all SEO Settings is "on"

Thanks

This looks like a correct SEF link for a category that does not have a menu item matched (e.g. a menu item with parameter override enabled will not be autoselected):

site.tld/component/flexicontent/9-latest.html

But it is strange that you have this SEF URL, normally there is a default menu item automatically created with alias "site_content"

so your URL should be :

site.tld/site_content/9-latest.html

Please go FLEXIcontent "Component" Configuration (=Configuration Button)
Under TAB "Options" and under section "SEF / URL Options", make sure that for parameter "Add above to FLEXIcontent URLs" the value is "Yes if no other appropriate is found", then just above check which menu Item Id is set e.g. 478, and then go to Menu manager and find it , is this published , and is public and is pointing to any FLEXIcontent view e.g. Directory

No, sorry, it doesnt work. Link-Menu is created and the id is the same as in SEF Section, under "Default Menu Itemid for URLs"

The Option "Add above to FLEXIcontent URLs" is "Yes if no other appropriate is found", also right.

I try to change the "Menu Item Type" in Menu from: Articles->Category Blog to FLEXIcontent->Category, but in this way I receive the same error each time as I try even to open a category (from Menu)

I tried now start a debug, and that is what I see, when I open some Article to view:
under Session->__default->flexi_advroute_url:
view ⇒ item
option ⇒ com_flexicontent
task ⇒
id ⇒ 22
cid ⇒
lang_tag ⇒ en-GB
ishome ⇒
menu_id ⇒ 141
menu_isitem ⇒
menu_iscat ⇒

In category-View I see
under Session->__default->flexi_advroute_url:
view ⇒ item
option ⇒ com_content

What else could be the cause?

My suggestion was for having a better SEF URL,

the error "Remote server or file not found" is not related to FLEXIcontent, but to your .htaccess to mod_rewritting being set-up properly.

Did you rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess ?
Did you enable all Joomla SEF options ?

It seems that everything is set.

I have other sites and it wasnt some problem with mod_rewriting.
In addition, the component also works fine, but only the link to the category is not displayed correctly, and only then, when I look the article. If I open category, where all articles are listed, the links to categories for each article will displayed correctly.

I try to install it on localhost and show what happens.

In this case you can send me a PM with admin login to review this.

Include in the PM a link to the frontend page that shows the problem

(Also a question did you install / uninstall a third party SEF component recently?)
