Item Form, How to autoselect Category

Congratulations on the new FLEXIcontent!

My question is:
I am trying to simplify the number of steps for a client to enter content.

Is there anyway to have an item type with the primary category already chosen?

For example:
bt.wedesigntaipei.com/faq

I have set it up for my client to enter a type called "FAQ" - and the category the item would always be in is "FAQ".

Or another type called "News" and the category is always "News".

Thanks,

Robert

Yes it will add in svn use &maincat=youridcat and you can use type too &type=youridtype
Waiting for release soon

Thanks - it worked! I created the following link in my administrator:

index.php?option=com_flexicontent&controller=items&task=items.add&maincat=77&typeid=4

Is possible to also set language?

In author manager you can select to limit the languages available to an author to specific ones, e.g. author will be able to use 3 out of the six available languages

-- but currently auto-selecting a specific language is not supported.

Hi Micker,
If you find this useful you can add to the FAQ.

I like to use:

Admin-Menu-Manager
www.pages-and-items.com/extensions/admin-menu-manager

You can set custom items in the menu for clients to add.

So clients can add FAQ items or Menu items easily. It also reminds me of the old FLEXIaccess.

[attachment=0:2nbfmvwj]<!-- ia0 -->Cobb Taiwan - Administration.png<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:2nbfmvwj]

Your URL - should look as follows:
Code:
index.php?option=com_flexicontent&controller=items&task=items.add&maincat=77&typeid=4

If you add:
"&typeid=1" - you can specify FLEXIcontent type

&maincat=77&typeid=4 - you can specify primary category

Thanks,

Robert
