In flexicontent 2.5 I wonder how are purged the images and other files stored in db flexicontent_files and with thumb in images/flexicontent.

Is there any way to remove them manually or automatically without phpmyadmin and ftp ?

In v2.0.0 the file manager will count correctly all usage of files by:

- file fields
- image fields in DB-reusable mode
- minigallery field

You can safely delete files having ZERO usage via the file manager, just note that currently there is no filter to list "zero usage files" ,

so you need to view the lists and select multiple of them that have zero usage and then click delete.

hi there,

bumping an old thread here, but i wondered if there is -by any chance- some new way of ordering or filtering the media list to quickly clean up / delete all orphaned files (files with no usage) other than item by item?

cheers,
kath :)

Hello

in file manager there is a column "File Usage (# items)"

-- if it says "Not assigned" then you can delete the item
(not assigned mean the KNOWN file-using fields, any 3rd party field using files are not accounted)

NOTE: you can not sort by this column, the reason is we prevented this on purpose for performance reasons,

we know that in many case it would be possible in terms of performance, but ... it would generate complaints about performance in cases of sites with 10,000 or more items

Regards
