How to set default access in publication details

How to set default access in publication details was created by Kanefire

I have been required to create a "guest" ACL group for the purposes of allowing menu items to disappear upon login.

Currently, when an author submits an item, they are required to choose access level in publication details. It defaults access to "guest" which will cause the item to not be viewable to logged in users.

How can I set the default access level?

did you try setting this parameter :

Joomla Global Configuration
/ Site
/ Site Settings
/ Default Access Level *

I did change it, but have since been unable to test it because, for some reason, my superuser account doesn't seem to be allowed access to front end submit article page, despite Flexicontent permissions allowing it... I'll create another post for that and get back to this when I can.
