Menu parameters

Hi All,
I am using this component for first time I am facing a strange problem :roll:

I previously tried the beta3 version just to check this component how it works..!!!
in that there was a difference considering menu parameters for category ...


Now when I want to work with the component I installed the latest beta5 version so,
This has some changes as compared to the menu parameters of beta3

The problem is that I want to have seperate template when we go to item view from category
and different view/template when I directly go to the item through menu You can see the screenshot attached

please help me to solve the problem

Hi,
In fact this has changed with the beta4.
Now you cannot have two separate displays for a same item/category as the layout parameters are directly in the items/categories.
It would be to long to explain why but there very good reasons for this choice, but basicaly it's the only way to be sure the items/cats will have the right template (in case of losing the itemid).

Is it possible in beta3 version.????or not.???

This is one thing k2 has over FLEXIcontent. I have a category with 2 columns, and I have the same category for my home, but need 1 column for that.

update: one work around is creating a top level category that is not needed.

top level =cat1
2nd level == cat2
3rd level === cat3

cat1 = menu1
cat2 = menu2
This way I can give a different layout. The only problem is that cat1 is a unnecessary category level.
