Remove Meta Title Tag

I find no way to remove the meta title tag in the Parameters. So my Site is not HTML 5 valid. Can someone help me.

i guess your joomla template is specifying document type to be html5

this is added by calling joomla code inside our view.html.php files

I have found the code in the view.html.php file. Is there any other option than to overwrite this file? The change is gone after an update. Is it possible to override the variable ('MetaTitle') the global template?

i think to totally remove it

1. after everybody abused it to use different text than the text entered in <title>...</title>
2. now all search engines will anyway ignore it and always use the <title>...</title>

so it was removed from specs, and i see that joomla also stopped using it (although i see some other 3rd party components to still add it)

i think we can safely remove it (and we will in v2.0.3+)
