[solved] Editor gone in Categories

Hi,

I feel a bit stupid cause i've been using FC for a while now, but I'm not sure what i've done, what setting i've changed by mistake but FC does not load JCE when editing a category.

I've looked in the global settings but can not see anything.

Does anybody have an idea where i can correct that?

I tried all this already. it's happening on the default "description" field as well.

I thought it was maybe a problem since i have 3 text area in my form, but no. Even if i unpublish the 2 others, the default one still does not have JCE.

I'm really puzzled! it's the first time it happens to me.

OK, it's officially driving me completely nuts!

If someone is willing to check it, i'll give an access to the back-end.

I've already updated with com_flexicontent_v2.0.2_J25_r1680.zip but the problem remain. I've also updated to joomla 2.5.11.

My situation is that i migrated a lot of content from a J1.5.x site with a few other components, but also already have set-up custom field as well. I would really like to avoid redoing everything.

What what causing this issue initially since i've asked to update?
I've looked at firebug but no error comes up when creating/editing an item.

I've also tried to remove flexicontent. And reinstalling but i still get the problem.

I've looked at the php and apache log file and the only thing i see besides some "notice" in the php.log is the following error in the apache.log:
File does not exist: /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/sitej25/administrator/components/com_flexicontent/assets/js/silveripe.js, referer: http://localhost/sitej25/administrator/ ... =templates

I'm not sure if it's related or not.

unfortunately for me, it seems to be unrelated to flexicontent. Because even if i uninstall flexicontent, the problem persists.

After additional testing it seems to be coming from JCE. If i uninstall JCE and make TinyMCE, it works. If i try another editor, it works. I install JCE and it does not appear. I've cleared my cache (site and browser), re-installing it. even tried the latest RC version but no improvement.

I was hoping in a way that it was FC cause you always get some good support!! but happy to see it is not which confirm how awesome FC is.

But i'm still with the same issue!!!

Well, i finally managed to find the problem.
it was indeed coming from JCE.
Since the site i was working on is a migrated site from joomla 1.5.x, after migration and installation of JCE, although it was showing as selected did not register to user group to display the editor. Which then caused the editor to not show up since it was not set for it.
After re-setting everything and saving it is solved!

It's always the most stupid things that bugs the longest!
