Hello,

I'm setting up Fleximport to enter automatically articles in FC.
In the CSV file used by fleximport I need a column with a primary key (to know if the record is to be added (empty field in CSV) or to be updated (field with the value of the primary key).

I thought about using FC article ID as primary key. But I don't find it in the list of Core FC fields.

I thougth about creating a user field which copy the content of the ID field.
Is it possible to get a user field which duplicate the content of the ID field ?

thank you for advices

Michel

I have found the field used as ID in Fleximport.
It's called "attrib's".

Sorry for the buzz.

One general question remains :
Can we get a text field which copy others fields contents as we can use in related fields type

best regards
Michel

and furthermore, it sounds very specific , i have never thought of something like this for the built-in CSV import

My problem with Fleximport is solved.

My question is a general FC question.

Here an example :
I'm using a Google map plugin.
In the parameters of the plugin I need to display address, zip code, city, country.

In FC address, zip code, city and country are distinct text fields.

I have another field 'map'.
With the prefix and suffix of the field I can enter all others options values needed by the plugin (map size, zoom level, using of street view...).

My aim is to copy the FC address, zip code, city and country in this field when this field is displayed and to hide this field to the user in the front end or back end article form.

I remember, but I'm not sure, you spoke about that a few weeks ago when introducing the related/back related item and explained how customizing the field to be displayed in an article.

For the moment, my map problem is solved as I do it manually in the source template, but in a future evolution of FC it would be great to get that avoiding to multiply the templates sources.

best regards
Michel
