Hello,

Sorry, it's me again :)

I can not change the parameters of a catégory.
When i modifie the number of #principal in the parametre of a blog, the validation gives the old values.

But I had already done the same manipulation, a few weeks ago without any problem.
What is the problem in your opinion.

Thanks
Annick

Hello,
please check this:

- go to phpmyadmin
- click to view the structure of '_categories' table
- is the column attribs of type 'text' or is it 'varchar' ?
(it should be of type text)

Thanks,

I have on category table.
I have not "attribut", but "params" ; it is effectivelly in type "text".

Since my first post, I was in the Categories table.
I saw that in the "params" there were all the elements.
I copied the params of the class that is in good condition and that of the category I want to change.
I have an editor to copy and paste to state that I can not save.
and local, I glued these new parameters in the recording of the class to change in the category table ....
and it worked.

But that is not satisfactory !
Best regard

Hello,
since the 'params' column is of type text,
then go to:

Joomla Main Backend Menu
Site/System Information/PHP information

search for variable:
max_input_vars

- what value does it have?
a value of 3000 or more is good

if it is less then add in you .htaccess of your joomla folder:
Code:
php_value max_input_vars 3000

And then visit again Site/System Information/PHP information
to verify the change, then try saving category again

Hello,

I have not found the variable
max_input_vars
then, i tried to add the file of the phpinformation of my site, but files with extension .doc or .pdf are not allowed.

I could do a screenshot but my file is way too long and wide for the space allowed, if it's only .jpeg files allowed.

In the mean time, i searched in my php.ini on my Xampp.
I founded this next paragraph as the only thing approaching :

; Maximum input variable nesting level
; php.net/max-input-nesting-level
;max_input_nesting_level = 64

Is it related ?
Thank for all.
Best regards

Hello,
did you try to change .htaccess (inside Joomla main folder), and place in it:
php_value max_input_vars 3000

Hello !

I made the change. Htaccess you requested.

I still can not modify the elements of presentation template to blog:
- # Main,
- Remove html tags & wrap text (Forces read more)
- Use the image.
I created a new template (blog-2) and the problem is the same.
Sorry I could not find any single solution. and thank you for your help.

Hello
please clarify this:

-- you cannot modify template parameters (when page reloads they are the old values),
but you can modify the category parameters like, "use search" or like number of items per page ?

also in FLEXIcontent component parameters (while in any backend screen click button "Configuration"), can you modify the parameter of item form?
if so then the solution i mentioned is not needed and the problem is different

You can send me a PM with super admin login to review this

Hello,

Please update both category.xml and item.xml files of your templates from J1.5 format to J2.5+ format

Complete instructions here:
www.flexicontent.org/documentati ... r-j25.html

to find not updated files
search for <params
inside your XML file

-- Move all your no-none built-in files out of templates folder
-- Move one template inside the 'templates' folder and update category.xml and item.xml
-- Do it carefully one file at a time clear cache and then testing in category edit form (for JS errors) for category.xml
and content Type edit form (for JS errors) for the item.xml

then move the next template
