The mini gallery field does not seem to be working on the site.
It shows only the container. And a little blue button and the file name appears at the bottom of the container.
The thumbnails or the image do not appear.

Please look at the link below

Hello,
do you have install a lazy image load plugin?, it breaks the loading of the field, because images are not loaded, widths are not calculated properly

Also with all enhancements done to the image/image gallery plugin the minigallery plugin maybe deprecated in a future version in favor of image/image gallery field

So if using mini-gallery field for 1st time then prefer to use the image/gallery field

Yes you were right - the lazy load plugin is the culprit. I could see the slideshow once i disabled it.

Hi - Your idea of a better image/image gallery is ok but i do not understand why you have to retire this field in favor of image/image gallery. Are you going to merge both of them into one cool field?

As of now i don't know how i could create something that would look like a movie reel beneath a large window i.e. the gallery - with image/image gallery. Image/image gallery can only produce thumbnails which give a pop up. I never saw them do this!

Anyway i always thought that the number of plugins will diversify and grow overtime depending on the diverse needs of people. But you seem to be interested in converging them into finite number of fields which could be customized to produce various effect. Why?

In v2.0.1 RC1 r1704 there are 4 more JS gallery layouts

- widgetkit
- galleriffic (built-in loading)
- elastislide (built-in loading)
- photoswipe (built-in loading)

Let me explain my point of view
Yes i have tried all of them but there is one thing that has to occur before they could assume either one of those layouts; All the images are laid out before the viewer like magazines in a pawn show and these layouts only appear when the user clicks on one of them. If all the pictures are quite visible without having to click on them, then why would anyone click the pics!

Gallerific, Photoswipe, Widget kit follow suit
Elastislide is the exception!

P.S. Widget kit needs manual loading??? I could not understand that part

- 1. It depends on the JS gallery how the images are handled
- 2. also remember that supporting a common interface for all JS galleries in regards to:
a. editing
b. displaying (=using the data enter in item form)
... is not trivial at all, great effort/time was put in this

Some galleries, come with
- a 3rd party extension e.g. JCE,
- or with a ROCKETtheme Joomla Template or are commercial (widgetkit),
- or simply not included within FLEXIcontent package, but still some user use them

e.g. a user uses Widget kit in his/her website and would like to also use it FC image field ... that is why these are there ...

Regards
