in my website
i don't use the description field
and the automatic meta data generator extensions
don't work

my question is
is there a way to make the value of some fields are
the default value of the metadata field ?

you could try this:

in some textarea field:

1. enable plugin triggering
2. select none plugin = trigger ALL

-- BUT the description field is special , because only in this field the extra EVENTS of Joomla are triggered
like onBeforeDisplayTitle, onAfterDisplayContent, etc, etc

The description field should not be excluded from your content types, unless you have a really good reason

i disabled the description field because i use flexicontent for a directory of doctors

and i have specifec ( text & list ) fields for every thing
doctor address , speciality , mobile
and these data

and a form for users submissions
as they will put the content of the site through the frontend submission


i don't think that i need the description field in that case

or you have another idea ?

i know that we can load the value of some fields inside one field

like that {{field48##0}}

if we can make that the default value of the description field
is something like this
"
this is the details of dr {{title##0}}
from {{field48##1}} who is a {{field33##1}}"

i think the page will have a nice appearance and a metadata as well

is that possible ?

no this will not work

my previous answers applies ... some content plugin events are hard-coded to trigger on Text field only for joomla compatibility, i don't know if your metadata plugin is using them
