Indicate canonical URLs

Hi,

one of the key features of a CCK system is that items can be assigned to multiple categories e.g. to build a product directory. The result is duplicated content. I know that Joomla itself produces duplicated content but to my experience this is not a big issue with Google because, well I just know, because some of my pages are highly rated form Google. I guess Google is able to differentiate between cheating or just having three link versions of an article system-wise.

Anyway, this becomes more an issue if, like in my case, one builds a big product directory where an item might be assigned to 10, 15 or more categories. This surely is (bad) duplicated content for Google. So my question is if it is possible to include a canolical URL statement in the header of each item?

Any ideas? Or is there a sitemap component that is able to a) include Flexicontent items and b) displays only selected categories and items?
