I read in forums that many people have had trouble uninstalling the normal way flexicontent through joomla. My site has a lot of content and I do not have problems. Is there a safer way to uninstall flexicontent 2.0?
Thanks,

Hello

-- trouble uninstalling FLEXIcontent, via our uninstaller ??
latest version will uninstall without any problems, so please use the uninstaller via the Joomla extension manager !!

-- but NOTE, FLEXIcontent DB tables will be deleted, most importantly the FLEXIcontent EXTRA fields DATA will be deleted
so never uninstall if you only want to upgrade to later version (or to downgrade to earlier version)

-- in your case just uninstall THE FLEXIcontent COMPONENT (yes the component will uninstall all individual plugins/modules) via Joomla extensions manager, your installation is fresh and you do not have any FLEXIcontent data that you will need to keep

Regards

No, I only unpublish all Flexicontent plugins and component ( I did a test before in other site for to make sure I would have no problem) and with the unpublish I have now my site in blank.
I couldn't uninstall it.
I unpublish joomla system languagefilter and joomla system languagecode for to test. I can access to administrator then I publish again all flexicontent but with no results.

Please help me.

Unpublishing will not work. You have to uninstall FlexiContent. Or just install FlexiContent again over the existing installation. This might bring the functionality back.

The most reasonable thing would be to install the backup you made before you installed FlexiContent. If you made a backup...

I unpublish joomla language plugin for to test. Was strange to have a /en/ in URL.
Well, Now I'm deleting the site for to upload a backup.
After, I will uninstall flexicontent. I understand that flexicontent has been very good for many joomla developers, but for me it was not so.
I could not solve my problem with loadmodule and could not make the menu buttons make item lists of categories in second or third level. This has been delaying my work and I can not keep trying to fix it.
Now I hope that when you uninstall the site does not fall again!
