Hello

JView is a class that exists and comes together with Joomla,

-- this extension that you mention redefine it guessing if it will be loaded or not,

Joomla loads this when FLEXIcontent tries to use it, and we get the error of double definition

maybe instead of doing that they could just load appropriate file with require_once(...)

If they have a "fix" for this,
i would be happy to know about it, please ask them,

note that i quote the word fix because FLEXIcontent does nothing wrong in regards to this

Regards

hello,

here is what they answered me

Our theme uses an own JView class to load our theme-files. Flexicontent seems to use the same technique in their component. This causes a problem. If both extensions load an JView class this results in a fatal-error. If only one extension loads it's own JView the other extensions won't work. So this is a classic "conflict" betweent to extensions.

If you're interested I can dig deeper and try to find a solution that makes both extensions work. But I can't do this for free. In this case please have a look onto our premium support: www.yagendoo.com/en/product/1-hour-premium-support.html

I am not sure what to think about...I allready payed there theme and modules...didn't expact that.

Hello

no that is not the case
FLEXIcontent does not create it 's own JView !!

-- It requests the loading of Joomla JView class file and extends it.

e.g.
class FlexicontentViewItem extends JViewLegacy

if same thing would be done by the other extensions (this is the proper way), then no error will occur

is the support forum thread that you have in their system public?

is so, then give link to it and i will post there

Regards

i got it working but nevertheless I have to say these two extensions seem to be incombatible to each other.
I edited the following two files, you should backup them:
/administrator/components/com_yagendooproductmanager/ecm/yag_mapping.php
/libraries/joomla/application/component/view.php
