i want to Strip HTML tags & cut text after specific number of characters
and i activate that option of the category
[attachment=0:1wymlqaw]<!-- ia0 -->100.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:1wymlqaw]
and it doesn't work
am i missing something ?

i am using FLEXIcontent version 2.1.0 r1781

about the language file of every template ?

when i change something in the language files at
l/components/com_flexicontent/templates/TEMPLATE_NAME/language/en-GB/en-GB.ini

i see no changes in the category view !!

should i activate any thing to work

1. this parameter appears twice 1 for leading items (e.g. full width) and once for intro items (e.g. 2 columns),

-- so please check the number of items that you have in the page to see if the (content) item that you are looking at is a "leading" or an "intro" item

-- also if this is a customized copy of blog template (e.g. blog-1), then temporarily check with "blog" template

2. about custom read more, we have a pending enhancement for "custom text" of read more per content type !
... possibly we could have custom read-more per category too ? , but i think that per content type should be enough, right ?

-- but now this parameter is not available you need to duplicate "blog template" and change the text inside categories text is something like ...READ_MORE....

3. about the language file not being loaded,
- possibly it is broken please check quotes openings/closings
- add a new string that does not exist e.g. FLEXI_DDTTRR="Test string loaded"
and test with
echo JText::_("FLEXI_DDTTRR");

and i found that i works good

should i duplicate it and start editing it again from the beginning ?!

and for the language

i have searched for the word more in all the template files and i didn't find any thing

i think i am using older version of it in my custom template

i will duplicate that new blog template
and edit it again ..

most appropriate and need is a custom READ MORE per content Type (in content type configuration)

this a little work and will be commonly useful, it is planned
