Hi

I have migrate from J1.5 to 2.5 then 3.1.
After this migration joomla article was fusionned with flexicontent aricle.
Before in joomla 1.5 I used the module Related aticle to get a menu on side with liks to similar article, for those I added same tag in metadata.

But now, this module is not working anymore.
I'be tried to get it work with some related article in using tags system of felxicontent but is not working anymore.

Any idea or suggestion to get this handy module back?

Thanks in advance for your help

Greg

Hello

- FLEXIcontent will not prevent the Joomla related articles module from working properly

also, "not working" does not tell us much information, you mean it is not displayed or it OR it is displayed but does not show any articles ?
e.g. if not displayed verify that you have setup display conditions of the module, start with allowing module in all pages (regardless of current menu item)

- Joomla related articles module use the meta keywords for finding related articles
... so please check if during upgrade the meta keywords of the items were lost for some

Hello

i see, current ARTICLE view before was "com_content" article view , but now it is FLEXIcontent item view
... so yes the module will not display anything,

- We will add this capability to FLEXIContent Universal Module, which already has a "related" items module:
- related by common tags as currently displayed item
- related because of same category as currently displayed item
- related via relation field of currently displayed item
- WE WILL ADD: related by common META key words as currently displayed item

-- Please apply this (temporary patch) to
modules/mod_related/helper.php

Replace:
Code:
if ($option == 'com_content' && $view == 'article' && $id)
with:
Code:
if ((($option == 'com_content' && $view == 'article') || ($option == 'com_flexicontent' && $view == 'item')) && $id)

And it will work

Regards

Thank I change the code and now native joomla module is working.
I'll wait you add common META key words to FLEXIContent Universal Module, because this one have better dispaly than native joomla module ;)

Thank again for your help
