Hello

there is (already) ACL privilege in content type edit page to control which usergroups have "create items"

so you speak only about limiting the number of created items per content type? right ?

Yes, exactly, Limits number of contents per content type for each author/group.

hhhm

we have subscription / subscription-like sites in mind

this limitation is many to many relationship

and

-- we are adding (mostly done) usergroup permissions (=same as user/author permissions just they are in a usergroup edit form)

-- so this limitation will be in usergroup edit page
or
in content type edit page
maybe more convenient is usergroup, i think

thinking out loud to get ideas and opinions, also not forget if something is not very common, it may be implemented in an unspecified time
