Pathways and breadcrumbs

Ok, case:

Now:
- Autopathway off: Home -> Menu entry 1 -> Current Menu entry -> Category -> Subcategory
- Autopathway on: - Autopathway off: Home -> Category -> Current
- Auto yes + "start to add categories at level 5": -> Home -> Category -> Current
- Removing categories on routing plugin: Fine

Now my point. The default behaviour for Joomla is using the menu items. How I do it without adding categories and subcategories to the path? better without need to add all the categories on the routing plugin

Hello

you want to have menu items only?

e.g. in item view
if current menu item is category-type then you do not want the item title in the breadcrumbs?

Basically.

If I´m in a menu item type category, I want to see the menu tree above him, not his category neither his parents

Hello

so you want to achieve what "Automatic pathways" does, but skip current category (or current item) ?

I simply want menu items in the breadcrumb.

parent -> single item
|- son -> category item

Breadcrumb for item in category "son"

Home -> parent (menu alias) -> son (menu alias, no autoconstructed category alias) -> item in category

Did I explained better? Feel free to ask clarifications :)

Hello

but you can achieve this by setting menu item depth to 99 on every category menu item that you create

you can do this once,
when you create menu item for first time

two questions

so you need to do it as many times as category menu items?

what do you mean by 99? the "Start to add parents categories at depth" field on each item?

but you gave me an idea, if the advanced routing plugin works as I think, if I add all the types I´ll only get menu items on the breadcrumb, that is what I want.

I´ll do some tests and let you know

Hello

yes, as description says the category links will not be added for Content Types that you select in the advanced route plugin
Code:
// For some Content Types the pathway should not be populated with category links if ( in_array($item->type_id, $globalnopath) ) break;

Hello

hhmm, forget the item depth

1. disable automatic pathways globally (or at selected categories)
2. Go to content type and disable adding item's category title to the pathway

Regards

This works for items, but not for categories mmm

I mean, I have a menu entry pointing to a subcategory. In its breadcrumb appears the parent category.

Mmmm we always have the option to put the categories on the routing plugin, but it would be interesting a easier mode to do this
