how to create select fields

hi
I want to create select fields (drop downs) with search button that will be shown in specific article i made but i dont know how
i tried several options and nothing happened
can any body help please, I spend a lot of hours on it

Hello

1. most flexicontent field can be used as field filters,

but they appear in category view and not item view

above you say that you want to use the field filter in article view ? why ? you are already displaying a single item, please explain what you want to do

did you read faq and tutorial site ?

i just want a simply user guide that explains step by step for beginners because SQL queries is not my strong side and i building my first site after some suggestions i decide to use flexicontent
i found some related issues in forum but not a detailed guide or video its really needed for those that not have develop skills or orientation to it

1. you do not need to have SQL knowledge,

-- the answer about using SQL was because we thought that you asked to retrieve data from an SQL table and using them in a select field

so short answer: forget about SQL


2. About starting with FLEXIcontent here it is:

still it is not clear what you are asking


4. FLEXIcontent only requires only some moderate Joomla knowledge

and remember it is some times very difficult for us to answer, the more clear and detailed a question is, the more chance you have of getting a good answer

-- e.g. you want to create a select field ? or you want to create a field filter that appears as select in category view ?

-- e.g. you want a select field in item form with choices that will be filterable by typing the first letters? then our select field will do this
