Conditional fields

Hello friends,

One issue I've encountered is that "company" is a custom field and "product" is another custom field.
The problem is how can i target the output of company selection to the product field given the fact that its field id can change ? say the product field was deleted and later created again and now with different id ? how can i always find that field? actually the same goes for both fields ..
one solution i came up with is to store the "product"'s field name/id in DB, and then when company selected i will seek the field id from the DB and then apply the
result to it. Its kinda weird work around and i wanted to ask if there is a better way to achieve that ..

this is more a programming question than a FLEXIcontent question

you have to make some planning of it,

about conditional fields, you may ask for updated information (about progress) at start of January

yes,
this will be in FLEXIcontent v2.1.4 (maybe name v2.2.0) together with multimedia fields (share video, address (gogglemap) ) that are based on user-contributed fields

it is too late for v2.1.3

was hoping it would be in next release as is something I definitely want to use and for this and only reason I had to buy another component to use instead of Flexi....but still my mind is in Flexi and was delaying to go live just in case.... Great work anyway you do here!

So I guess 2.1.3 is very close for release?

yes conditional field and video-share, address field are important fields missing from FC

the conditional field was not implement because we wanted to add extra support (related to existing parameters of select,radio,checkbox, etc field)

-- maybe basic support will be in v2.1.3 for select field only

about release of v2.1.3 final that is before 10 of February
