[use Joomla template override] customizing front end form

Hello,

I want to create a front end form.

When opening the form I get firstly the basic tab (category, language, translated from...) as shown in the following image :
[attachment=0:pw264v37]<!-- ia0 -->formulaire saisie dossier.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:pw264v37]

I don't need this informations for the front end but only the content type tab. Is it possible to hide the first 'basic' tab ?

actualy not... you can override form.php to do what you want

this makes sense,

and we plan to add simplifications for frontend form and also provide ability
- to hide the TAB or
- move the contents of it above (outside the TAB set)

now if it is important,

you may create a Joomla template override and customize the file: form.php

components/com_flexicontent/views/items/tmpl/form.php

1. copy the above file to templates/mytemplate/html/com_flexicontent/items/form.php

2. modify it to suit your needs
