[Fixed in r1832] Help with Read More

I am trying to hide Read More but without success.

I use "blog" template for my Home Menu set to show Categories. The categories shown under Home Menu are using different templates e.g. Default1, Default2 etc so I can't edit blog template through there.

In Global configuration and Menu "Read More" is set to hide. I know in blog you must change the parameters "Strip HTML tags & cut text" but how do I do it if I don't have blog assigned to any category so that I change parameters? Through the menu is not giving me the option to.

Thank you

edit your categorie_item.php and delete code directly ;)

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

you can do the above, but the category layout of 'default' template is not displaying any readmore, it show 'title' and the selected fields in a table,

if you are using any other custom template that is not a duplicate of 'blog' and 'default'

then edit:
category_items.php
and
category_items_html5.php

and find:
Code:
$readmore_forced = $this->params->get('lead_strip_html', 1) == 1 ; // option 2 strip-cuts without forcing read more
and replace with:
Code:
$readmore_forced = 0;

this is a bug in the templates since there is no 'lead_strip_html' template parameter, so the read more is always forced to on

- After patching the above , check and set the parameter "Read more" inside
Items List Creation / Item list

Regards
