multi language field label

Hello,

As yout told that with FALANG we may get performance degradation in medium-size sites and serious performance issues in large sites , I have taken the core JOOMLA 3 multi language solution.

For the articles, I create one article in the main language (french for me) and I link the translation in each language (4 other languages). So for each article I get 5 grouped records.

I have 2 questions :
Is it possible to get multi language label ?
when changing language, are we redirected to the same article in the new language (if it exists) our are we redirected to new language home page ?

best regards
Michel

Yes. This can be realized for the labels using Joomla's language override feature. Every label has a language string that can be overwriten.

It will be redirected to the same article in the new language if the articles are associated together. This can be done using the translate feature of FC or editing an article and assigning another article as translation.

Hello

1. edit files like (you can also use Joomla language overrides manager to edit them):

(frontend):
language\overrides\en-GB.override.ini
(backend):
administrator\language\overrides\en-GB.override.ini

and add you field label:
FLD_COMPANY="Company"

2. edit flexicontent field and set label to be:
FLD_COMPANY

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
-- Add your voice to the FLEXIcontent JED listing with a 5-star...

Yes, using ini files is one way or go to Extensions-Languages-Overrides in the backend and you do not need to edit ini files.
