compatibility tab in the RC1859

I have just installed th RC 1859 in a test site.
I see that there is a new tab 'compatibity'.

How are the fields of the this tab used for ?
Is there any documentation about these new fields

Hello

if you create a Joomla category menu item then they will be used there

these are not yet used / displayed by FLEXIcontent

probably in next version, v2.2.0,

the image and weblink field will get an option to use them

In a future version will it be possible to use the core description field as a copy field of customized fields ?

This would allow to use some modules which use the description field.

NOTE 1: compatibility TAB will be removed in final v2.1.3
NOTE 2: these parameters will be moved to 2 custom fields that will be automatically created upon installing FLEXIcontent:

- an image field (will host 2 images: "intro" &"full")
- a weblinks field (will host the 3 links)


Thus allow

1. to use these Joomla article parameters inside FLEXIcontent

2. more user-friendly than "compatibility TAB"

3. these parameters will be saved in 'images', 'urls' of articles table, thus will be usable by Joomla's views and modules (thus maintaining compatibility with existin sites)


NOTE 3: for new sites we do not recommend using these, since they will not use image field in its full potential
