Versioning: Save as draft, show older version in frontend?

Hello,

I had that idea and I think it would be great. I'm not sure if FLEXIcontent already supports it or not.

Let's say I have an existing item.
I begin to edit it. Then, I just want to save the new version. But it's not finished, so I don't want it to be visible in frontend.

Within the backend that'd mean an older version is set to 'current' while my new version is saved as a draft or something.

Is such a thing possible?
Thank you so much!

Hello

the feature section of this is being are currently under works as it cover only a small percentage of features

about what you ask, you can enable this:
-- the state of your item does not need to change, FLEXIcontent keeps track of which version is currently "active" or "current" or "viewable frontend". See how to enable below:

- go to FLEXIcontent component configuration,
- go to options Workflow and Notifications TAB
- Under the Versioning Configuration, disable the parameter "Auto-Approve Versions",
now when you edit an item a new option will appear allow to make the newly saved version "Current", thus viewable in frontend

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
