Hello,
I have a multingual site. For each language I have a home page.

I'm using an internet version and a smartphone version (using Template Creator which allows to create module for internet and distinct modules for smartphones.

My question is related to the Home page.
Presently the Home page is a Flexicontent article, which is to be displayed only on internet access and not on smartphone access.

I'm looking to get distinct home access for smartphone and internet.

I thought about using distinct templates (using an empty template for smartphone access) with "&ilayout=..." parameter.
This option doesn't work on the home page as we can get only one home page by language.

I have also thought about embedding php code in the article to get distinct text content following the access type (smartphone or internet).

Do you have any advice to get a better solution ?

thank you for advices

best regards

Michel

Hello

1. you can enable mobile layout in component configuration

then a 2nd template parameter "mobile template layout" will appear in categories and in Content Type edit forms

2. if "mobile template layout" is not set then it default to the normal layout

3. so just visit the category used for home page and select a different layout for mobile

4. for your content type you can do the same

Regards

thank you very much.

It's working great.
For the home page I have created an empty template and linked the home page article to this template.

Thus I get only the image module and no text under.

best regards

Hello

I have tested on a phone : it's ok.

I have also tested on a tablet : In this case FC uses the mobile template.

In the template (using template creator) as the width allows it I have set to display the same screen as the desktop display. But I get in the main content the mobile template and not the desktop template.

Maybe, it would be usefull in a future version to get 3 types of templates :
    - for desktop
    - for tablet
    - for smartphone

Best regards

Hello

we have configuration option to treat tablets as "desktops" thus giving them the desktop version

what about the above ?

In the current site I'm creating, for the tablets some modules are those used in desktop, some others used in smartphone.

I was thinking about the same problem with main content.

In the article type I may have 3 description fields :
    - core text for desktop
    - customized field_1 for smartphone
    - customized field_2 for tablet
.

In this case, we cannot display the good field when we are using a tablet ou desktop.

This is just a suggestion of improvment.

Best regards
Michel
