hello again,

Can i override FC-plugins?

Details: I'm trying to render the FC-field-plugin 'fcpagenav' (page navigation) similar to how i would do it for joomla-modules or components - so far with no success.
I already tried to copy the file
"/plugins/flexicontent_fields/fcpagenav/fcpagenav.php"
into
"/templates/my_tmpl/html/flexicontent_fields/fcpagenav/fcpagenav.php"
, also tried
"/templates/my_tmpl/html/plugins/flexicontent_fields/fcpagenav/fcpagenav.php"
, also tried
"/templates/my_tmpl/html/plugins/fcpagenav/fcpagenav.php"
, and
"/templates/my_tmpl/fcpagenav.php"

(I understand that plugins are actually not supposed to render much, but at least in cases like this it would be wonderful to have that.)

thanks for any ideas.

yes it's a good idea !
i think we need to kill some FC style to use most commun template style
ex search button => fc_button => need button .. same for pagination etc
maybe in futur

Hello

the

fcpagenav.php is the complete field code, so it will never allow template override for it,

but we think of this

allow custom
onDisplayFieldValue()
functions

but we will allow this after the next performance enhancement on fields:
onDisplayFieldValue($item, ...)
is changed to
onDisplayFieldValue($items, ...)

for now if really important hack the field code and take a note of it when upgrading
OR better
duplicate the field and create a new custom field type
(see our FAQ article)

Regards
