bulk adding items to Multiple categories ?

Hello

is there any way how one can add multiple items to several secondary categories in one go ?

I have often the case that I add new categories and then have to add many existing items of one content type to this category.

Is there any way to automate this ? Adding tens or hundreds of items manually to categories is really not practical.

you mean like the "change state" button items manager, only it will be : "assign / remove secondary categories"

the SQL query should be easy, but the popup form will need a little more work time

Essentially yes. Some bulk change category button.

I tried to avoid multiple categories and use menu overrides with filters. However its not really possible because one cannot change category titles and descriptions with menu overrides. So having some possibility to bulk change categories seems to be necessary IMO.
