Hello

is the image/gallery field
- in DB re-usable mode
- or in FLODER mode

??

-- in folder mode you should be able to delete it always
-- in DB mode you cannot if it is used by another field in current item or field in other items

so
- do you get some error ? or
- you are just not allowed to delete the image ?
