flexicontent - backend item form layout

dear flexicontent team,

i m using flexicontent for a long time and very happy with it.

only since one of the latest flexicontent-version, i find the backend template solution for editing items, a bit confusing and not user-friendly.

in the old backend, you had all needed information in 1 view.
in the new, you have to click through different tabs before you can save the content.

is there a way to set the old template back?

yes that is the disadvantage of having things into TABs, it is more neat and clean , but you can not see everything without focusing the appropriate TAB


we changed it to make it more neat and less cluttered and also provide similar TABs with Joomla 3 article form


-- in v2.2.0 BETA it is possible to have full custom ITEM form layout mixing CORE/CUSTOM fields/parameters/template etc as needed, but only for frontend

-- there is no option to use older item form layout in backend, and also all backend forms will have this lookup, v2.2.0 already changes most backend forms and category edit form became TABBULAR too
