Items trashed

Hello,
please after trashing the items, they are deleted definitely or they are posted in an temporary area?
It seems that they are still counted using re-index basic.
Attached you find two screen shots with different values.
If they are still present, is it possible to delete them definitely?
Could you kindly clarify this?

yes all items regardless of state have an index,

thus when/if you change state to published the will be matchable in frotend


For permanent deletion:
in items manager click "state groups" and select to display the trashed items,
and DELETE button appears, select items and click delete

Well, i found it, but selecting all items the system shows a memory error, am i forced to select 100 items at a time or exist other solution (maybe 500 or much more..)

the list depends on memory and type of fields,

e.g. in large websites with 10,000 users the user list will also give out of memory error

but indeed the 100 items in the limit selector is little, we should add 500 and 1000

you can try it manually in the URL:

&limit=500

unfortunately adding it to the the url (sidebar after weblink), it doesn't work properly.
(I have more than 15000 items to be recovered, actually they are unpublished)
Is there another possibility?
