Hello

we have several users that are using a form submission component together with FLEXIcontent

v2.2.0 has even more options to simplify frontend item form, but it is not there, yet

e.g.
- you can have default language and hide language
- (new) you can have default category per content type
- and disable alias, and other options (see the ITEM FORM tab in component configuration and in content type configuration)

about the category not selected during submission, you may send me a PM and i will look at it
but:
- please provide instructions (inside the PM message) on steps to replicate the issue

Hello

this is related to "can Change Main Category" ACL

this is fixed in r1995, along with ability to redirect back to form with message when JForm field validation fails
