Creating Automatic Menus Items

I see with the new FLEXIcontent that under "type" there is:

+ Menu Item
+ Default menu item usage

What is for? Does this enable me to automatically add the item to the Joomla Menu?

Have tried configuring it - but the item don't appear.

Is there a way to automatically add items to a menu or category?

Thanks,

Robert

Hello

the FLEXIcontent item URLs usually use the menu item that point to themselves or to their categories

you can make some content types use a type-specific menu item in their SEF URls

if you want to do this
1 create an universal module to list all item of specific category
2 disply this module in your menu
=> you can do this with maximenuCK for example

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

Thanks for your input.

Just to clarify:

The item is in 2 categories
> gallery
> 2014 gallery

So it creates 2 SEF links:
.com/gallery/2014/item/72-item
.com/gallery/item/72-item

However, if I add the item to the menu I can get a correct link on both category pages:

.com/gallery/item

My understanding is if I create a list through universal FLEXIcontent Module - it will still list the non SEF URL and result in duplicate URLs.

So - is there a way to get a clean universal URL without manually adding it to the menu?

I think this feature used to exist in FLEXIcontent j1.5 with an Orchid1Software plugin - but can't remember as it was so long ago.

Thanks,

Robert
