Content list filtering module

Hi,

When I create a content listing filtering module and direct it to a category page,filtering is not done along with ordering.When I click on order by only ordering will occur and when will i click on filter only that filtering will occur.Both will not occur together.How can i make this possible?

I know if i set filters in category of the admin it will happen,but I want each filters in different position.

How can i make this possible?
