How to add Jcomments was created by rafah
Hi,

If I click on add new field.I cannot see jcomments in the list of fields.Please help me.I have installed jcomments component.Should i Install a plugin for this?

My flexicontent version is 2.2.0 r1974.

Hello

please use:
v2.2.0 stable or v2.2.1 RC


about your question:
it is not a field it is a parameter:


1. Enable globally by editing component parameter (configuration button)
(inside Content Display TAB)

2. Then you can override in each category

3. Then you can override global setting inside the Content Type parameters
(so comments will appear for some content types and be disabled for other content type)

4. Finally you can override inside individual content items to enable or disable it

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.But I have enabled jcomments every where.Still I am not able to see it.How can I set its position?

Hello


you should be seeing an ADD comment link at end of the item view


the position is not selectable via template field,

-- it is fixed position at end of item, and this is inside the template file item.php

-- it makes sense to add a new field that will make placing the comments at any position, but current way is fixed placement at end of item view

I found the code in item.php and posted to my template.Actually I was using my own template.Now the comments are coming.. :)
