Hi,

I don't know if this is explained somewhere as I have tried to view all documentation and even search in the forum but could not find any explanation about how to do this or even if what I am trying to do is possible.

There are some parameter options that allow to show extra fields within the Universal Module, this is perfectly explained and we were able to do it properly, please see screenshot below as reference:

[attachment=0:1ziep1sk]<!-- ia0 -->universal-module.png<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:1ziep1sk]

We successfully added the extra extra fields 'field17 and field23' which are the 'Price' field and 'City' fields.

However, we want also to show in which category is this item submitted, as per our fields configuration, the category field is field13, so, we added it as well in the extra field parameter as we want the item to be shown as below:

Category: Apartment
Price: Rs 10000000 .00
City: Vacoas

However, even if we add the category field value as explained above, the category field is not showing, are we missing any configuration so that the category field is shown?

Our category are set as below:

Residential for Sale (Main category selected in module configuration).
- Apartment (Sub category)
- House (Sub category)
- Studio (Sub category)
- Villa (Sub category)

So, we want to show in which sub category does the item belongs and also, the this sub category should be linked to show all items that are in this particular sub category.

Hope that I have been clear enough about this and explain my issue properly and would appreciate some help about this please.

Hello

the name of the field is "categories"
did you use "categories" or "field13"

if you used "categories", but it does not show, you may send a PM with
- admin access,
- module id
- and frontend URL that shows to a page that contains the module

Hi,

It was my error, instead of putting "categories" I put "field13", now that I have added "categories" it all works fine, thanks, we may mark this topic as solved.

Hello

i guess you already know this, but for everyone that may read this thread:

when you create a new field the default field name is:
fieldNNN
-- with NNN being the field id, but of course this is just the default, you can change field name to any other valid text e.g. 'mygmap'
