Hello

you can disable for all items of a category not for some

it is shown when:

a. either the fulltext exists (and READMORE parameter is ON)

b. or if you do strip and cut text, it FORCED to "show"
(regardless of fulltext and READMORE parameter)

but then you may do some change in your custom template

Ok. So Force means always. Just readmore "Yes" means, if description exists, it will show readmore if not not?

Yey, I know. Just wanted to make sure. At the moment setting readmore to "Yes" shows no readmore at all. Have to check if it is because of the changes you gave in the link in the post.

I tested and either I understood the function wrong. "Force readmore" always adds a readmore link. "Yes" only adds a readmore link to articles. Do I have to manually set an <hr id="system-readmore" /> into the article? Without this no readmore link is shown.

Here is my problem. I have a category blog. There are some article that have more text and here I need a readmore link. Other articles do not have lots of text and they would have a manual link to some other area of the page. I could use a text field here and leave the description field empty. Ideally not automatic readmore link would be included.
