Displaying different content types on Homepage

Hi,
I'm new in FlexiContent and couldn't find any tutorial about what I want to so I ask the community for kindly help :

I want to have different content types on my homepage : a calendar on the right and a tag list, the latest news in the middle and some presentation text on the left.

I'm trying to make a specific template for this :
- a field to insert a calendar module on the right
- a description field in the middle
- a list of related items in the middle for my news

Am I trying the right way ? :

yes you can and create a link to item for default page

i think you mean 1 content type that has

3 fields:
- Load Module field (to show a Joomla module)
- Description field (already exist)
- Related items field
- Tags field (already exists)
