time for a validator to access at an article

hello,
For security of saving, two authors can't access at the same article. That's it ?
But what's the time for a validator to access at a article to validate it after the end of connexion for an author?
Can i change this time ? where ? in joomla or flexicontent ?

the validator can see if the item is still checked-out


even if has an item his/her browser for days it should not be a problem,

since


re-saving will create a new version which will not be visible until approved,

the validator will validate a version, only that version will be visible


(approvement is always needed if the user does not have publish-privilege)


e.g.
a. user creates ver-1
b. validator approves ver-1 creating ver-2
c. still has the item open and re-saves, ver-3 is created

then ver-3 will need approval and ver-2 will remain visible until ver-3 is approved and saved as ver-4
