Controlling FieldGroup Output in Template

Hi,

I've started to test the fieldgroup fields - and so far so good.

I realize its in beta and I am using 3.4 - so - is it possible to control the output in the site template?

As all I get is it wrapped in <span>.

I'm looking for it to go:
Code:
<li><div class="title"><h5>field1</h5></div><div class="answer"></div></li>

Will that be possible in the future or will there be a paid version released?

I've started to template it for my admin - see attachment.

Thanks,

Robert

Hello

the fieldgroup "frontend display" was done last,

-- the current basic display is not the intended display, instead it is the end of work related to being able to create the fields inside a fieldgroup

These parameters are missing:

1. "HTML" templating parameter
to enter:
HTML with field names of the fields in groupo

2. Also these parameters are missing:
field start / field end
prefix / suffix / separator

-- The HTML parameter
that mixes fieldname (of the group) with HTML, was not added, it was just a little more work, that we did not have time to do

Here is a new issue not to forget to do (during next week):
github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexico ... issues/147

Also the cascading of "indexable" fields
select / selectmultiple / radio / checkbox / radioimage / checkbox image

is mostly done and want to finish this before completing fieldgroup field frontend display

Thanks - Georgios.

It looks really promising as I can see how it can be so useful.

Two things I noticed was:
1. After save - the insert above or below buttons are missing
2. The text area doesn't display until I save it - is it in the settings?

One more thing I was thinking of was Testimonials:
www.visitfootball.com/en/about/testimonials

Currently the client creates an item for each Testimonial and we also use it in a slider on the homepage. If we switch this page to field grouping - will it be possible (in the future) for the Universal Module to still be able to pull each quote into the slider?

In the meantime - I will do it through the visual editor as it has drag and drop.

Thanks,

Robert

Hello

about multi-value textareas,
-- we are fixing support for all duplicating textareas, using tinyMCE based HTML-editors !
-- for non-tinyMCE based editors, the HTML-editor will appear after saving

-- about add buttons missing, it should happen only if you disable the multi-value

about universal module, i don't understand what you mean, that is, how you want to use it

Hi Georgios

Sorry about the question. Will it be possible to pull each individual field group from the item and insert it into the Universal Content Module? As at the moment - you need to create an item to be able to put it into the Universal Module.

Like in this item with - fieldgroup 1 will it be able to be put into the Universal Content Module? and field group 2 etc. Or would I still need to do it the current way of creating individual items?

Hello

1. fixed in textarea field duplication of tinyMCE based editor
2. added in textarea, description field a custom EDITOR option !

3. you can now customize the description per content tyye
-- create an unpublished textarea field with name:
text_typealias
e.g.
text_article for Article (type alias: 'article')
text_car for Car (type alias: 'car')

4. you can set custom validation for every of these description fields and it should be respected, e.g. force STRING for all user regardless of the Joomla settings
