the pagination style is that created by Joomla, we do not overide the pagination style / page links, so
-- your Joomla template will take effect on it
-- any Joomla article that you may find online about pagination CSS styling, can be applied

it is:
$this->pagination


you can extend the Joomla Class: JPagination, create a new object and set it:
$this->pagination = $mypagination;
